"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" doesn't hit theaters until Nov. 21, but a chilling teaser trailer was just released on Wednesday, June 25, featuring Donald Sutherland as the menacing President Snow.
The teaser, which can be viewed below, is a simple message from President Snow for Capitol TV, but it's clear it is just more propaganda aimed at quelling the flames of rebellion growing in the other districts, which was shown in "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire."
Snow brags about Panem's "elegant system conceived to nourish and protect," but quickly makes it clear "if you resist the system you starve yourself. If you fight against it, it is you who will bleed."
Throughout this segment viewers can see someone is standing next to Snow (who is dressed in all white and sitting in what might as well be a white throne) also wearing all white. As the camera pans out, viewers can see its Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark, who we learned at the end of "Catching Fire" was captured by the Capitol alongside Johanna Mason (Jena Malone) and Enobaria (Meta Golding) after the events of the 75th Hunger Games.
The teaser ends with Snow delivering the rousing line, "Panem today. Panem tomorrow. Panem forever."
