Amazon Books, Amazon Pickup location opens in Marina del Rey

MARINA DEL REY, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A new Amazon Pickup location opened Tuesday to serve the west side of Los Angeles.

The pickup area is inside a new Amazon Books store in the Waterside at Marina Del Rey on Admirality Way.

Customers can send orders to the new pickup location and have them there for up to 15 days. You can also pick up bags for returns.

The Amazon Books store also reflects what customers are used to seeing on the company's website, including descriptions of items and recommendations.

"Every book facing also has a customer review behind it...we take the date of what customers are wanting on their wish list. So if you're coming this holiday and you want to know what to buy for people - this is what everybody wants," said Sarah Mathew, director of product management.

Now what if you see an item but don't want to take it home? You can take a picture scan of it and have it delivered to your home.

It's also the first time an Amazon Books location has shared its space with an Amazon Pickup spot.
