Complaints, code violations shut down 'nuisance' bar in South LA
Numerous complaints and code violations led to the closing of what neighbors called a nuisance bar in South Los Angeles.

SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Numerous complaints and code violations led to the closing of what neighbors called a nuisance bar in South Los Angeles.

For six years, community activists have tried to shutdown El Arroyo Bar. After working closely with Councilmember Curren Price and the LAPD, the bar is officially closed for good.

The Los Angeles City Council will vote to rezone the plot of land so no bar will be brought back. They are hoping something more positive and beneficial to the community will be established.
