PASADENA, Calif. (KABC) -- CaliBurger is coming to Pasadena in mid-June and it's trying to take a bite out of the competition.

The new restaurant will be located in the Paseo Colorado mall. The thick juicy burgers and fries remind patrons of another famous California fast-food joint: In-N-Out.

The company was founded in Los Angeles, but opened in Asia and expanded to the Middle East and Europe before coming to the U.S.

"There's a few things in the world you can do anywhere and people will love. One of those is cheeseburgers," founder John Miller said.

CaliBurger hopes technology can help it stand out from the competition. There is a digital fun wall that will allow customers to play games at the location. The burger joint's owners believe quality of their burgers will attract a crowd.
