SAN DIEGO, Calif. (KABC) -- The U.S. Coast Guard prepared to offload more than $78 million worth of confiscated cocaine in San Diego on Tuesday morning.
Earlier this month, a crew based in Washington state seized the two and a half tons of drugs from six smugglers off the coast of Central America.
The smugglers are currently in custody and will be prosecuted in the U.S. As for the cocaine, the DEA is planning to receive and destroy it.
