PASADENA, Calif. (KABC) -- A hacker broke into a Pasadena high school teacher's email account and sent a naked picture of him to about 200 people, including students, police said.

The email was sent on July 10th from the personal computer of Richard Rosas, a chemistry and biology teacher at John Muir High School.

Pasadena police believe a hacker was responsible, but no arrests have been made. Rosas was cooperating with authorities.

The school district emailed an apology to those who were sent the photo.

Rosas was expected to return to teaching when school begins in August, a Pasadena Unified School District spokesman told the Pasadena Star-News.

A petition started by a student in support of Rosa on MoveOn.org had about 370 signatures as of Saturday.
