7-year-old boy reports from agricultural show in Australia

QUEENSLAND, Australia (KABC) -- A young, rising star reporter from Australia is already building buzz.

Mater Vandeleur recently served as a guest reporter for Australia's Channel Seven, covering the Ekka, an annual agricultural show in Queensland.

He was a natural, although he had better luck wrangling the people to interview than the livestock.

"I can't believe I got bumped by a sheep, like that's never happened to me before," Vandeleur said. "He keeps walking around when I want him to lay down, and I got to keep following him."

Despite some uncooperative animals, Vandeleur stayed quite poised and professional as he spoke to attendees. There's no word on his plans for the future, but by all indications he definitely belongs on TV.
