Ashley returns to 'Paradise' and immediately begins crying over Jared

NEW YORK -- Ashley returned to "Bachelor in Paradise" this week and Chris Harrison did not give her a heads up that Jared is already coupled up with Caila. She promised Chris Harrison that she would try to keep her crying to three times (a day) and then headed down to the beach, armed with a date card. Jared broke the news to her that he's hanging out with Caila and he told her that she should be excited because everyone is excited she's there. Ashley grabbed the twins to talk about what happened with Jared and they broke the news to her that Jared's face lit up when Caila arrived, and then water works started. Ashley says that Caila told her that she wouldn't go after Jared before she was on the show and she's really shocked.

Ashley went off by herself and she contemplated going home. She was talking to a parrot (or I hope a producer?) about what her next move would be. Caila and Ashley talked about the situation and Caila told her that she didn't even realize that she was going to be on the show until two days before. Ashley told her that she didn't believe her. Ashley asked her what happened to Jared not being her type and Caila said that he became her type after she talked to him. She apologized for hurting Ashley, and Ashley was like, "yeah, OK," and got up and walked away. Jared tried to encourage her to stay and Ashley told him that Caila was a "backstabbing whore of a friend." They read her date card together and Jared encouraged her to take out her only real option: Daniel. He accepted her date request. Sarah didn't feel good about it, but she let him go off on the date anyway.

"Other than being Canadian, what do you do?" Ashley asked Jared. And the date was off to a crazy start. Daniel chose to focus on her virginity. Daniel couldn't believe that Jared didn't want to be "physical" with her despite them having a decent emotional connection. Ashely said that she thought he was really nice and she was surprised that they were forming a bond. They could actually make a cute couple. Back at the house, Caila told Jared she's holding off on the PDA because she doesn't want to hurt anyone, aka Ashley's, feelings. Daniel and Ashley were having a fantastic time on their date, although then Daniel started to focus on how he could deflower her with his Canadian ways. But then, a tribe of men came in and said they wanted to sacrifice a virgin. They picked up Ashley's chair and carried her away as Daniel looked on in amazement and confusion. He then moved on to eating her dinner.

Despite her great date with Daniel, Ashley woke up crying about Jared. Nick was sitting on the beach lamenting that he didn't have anyone as well. Then, Jen from Ben's season entered "Paradise." She decided to speak to the ladies first to find out who was coupled up with whom. After getting the information, she tried to get to know the available guys before making her selection. She didn't seem into Daniel, and then moved onto Nick. He told her that he would love to go out with her if she would like to go out with him, so she asked him out.

Meantime, Carly speculated that Evan was faking being ill to get her to sleep in his bed. A medic showed up as Evan was resting and she told him he should go to the hospital. He said that he's been taking some medication for his ankle swelling and it has been making him light headed.

Nick and Jen went out on a yacht for a beautiful date. She confessed to him that she's attracted to him and they shared a little kiss. Jen made sure to touch his hand a lot as they made their way to the beach.

Evan was in the ambulance and Carly went with him! He called it a date. He is so delusional! Or is he?! Carly said that she thinks he's a good person and probably exactly what she's looking for. She said she's back on the Evan train and she's a passenger.

As Jen and Nick sat on the beach they talked about how happy they were to be out on a date with each other. They were about to get romantic, but the crabs wouldn't leave them alone! They were everywhere! Jen and Nick laid down in the surf and tried to make out, but it didn't seem to last long with the crabs trying to pinch them every chance they could.

It was time for another rose ceremony where two women would be eliminated. Jared did his best to reassure Caila, while Nick told Ashley to give it up. He told her she is infatuated with him and that she will never be with Jared. Jared confirmed that and said that she came there to date other guys, so she should. She admitted to him that she has been clinging to the hope that they might get back together and Jared just said, "This sucks, it just sucks man." He asked her why she would come there, and she said it was to get over him. But clearly, it was to get another chance with him. He said that he doesn't want to be there dealing with this and he is considering going home. Poor Jared though, it looks like Caila's going to pull the rug out from under him and make a move on someone else next week! We'll have to wait for the results of the rose ceremony until next week as well.
