Courtney Cox, Seann William Scott and Kate Walsh talk about their roles creating the movie 'Just Before I Go.'

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Courtney Cox directed the movie "Just Before I Go," and she said when she directs another film, she wants at least 30 days and more money.

"We had 23 days to shoot this film and I think we had 41 speaking parts," she said.

In "Just Before I Go," Seann Williams Scott plays an unhappy man who returns to his hometown to confront the people who belittled him growing up.

Once he takes care of that, he plans to kill himself. But things start to change when he realizes he's not the only person dealing with difficult situations.

"I read the script and just loved it. I loved the part. It's clearly so different than anything that I've done. I cared about the character and I shared that with Courtney and told her I felt like I had a lot to bring to it and she let me do it," he said.

Kate Walsh is also in the cast, playing Scott's unglamorous, unhappy sister-in-law.

The film has its share of R-rated humor, but it also tackles bullying and high school sexuality.

"Just Before I Go" is in theaters nationwide and will be available for home viewing starting May 12.
