'DWTS': Will Alfonso Ribeiro bring back 'The Carlton'?
Alfonso Ribeiro is known for his role as Carlton on the 1990s TV hit, 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.' But will his best known dance move make a comeback on 'Dancing With The Stars'?

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Alfonso Ribeiro has hit the floor running tackling the jive, one of the fastest and toughest dances, for week one of "Dancing With The Stars."

It's a switch up from seasons past. More is expected from this season's celebrities.

"They've never done the jive week one. They've done it week two, but never week one," said Ribeiro. "And not only are we doing the jive this week, but it feels like the fastest jive they've ever done on the show."

He's working so hard, he wonders if he will actually find out what the judges think of his jive.

"I am completely out of breath at the end, every time. So I don't know whether I'm going to be able to stand up and hear the judges' scores and give me their critique after the dance, because I don't know whether I'll have the wind to be able to do it!" he said.

Ribeiro expects several members of his former TV family from "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" to be coming to the show to watch his progress.

He's thrilled that he'll be getting to learn all kinds of new dances. But he says his own "signature" move will be on hold for a while.

"If I threw 'The Carlton' dance in on the jive, well it doesn't fit with the jive, so it doesn't work with the music, it doesn't work with the song," he said. "So why try and jam it in somewhere to give it to the people versus making it organic and work and something that people are going to go, 'Look at that, it was a great way of doing it.' We are going try and do it, but we are going to hold off for a little bit."

Ribeiro and the rest of the celebrity cast takes the floor at 8 p.m. on ABC7.
