'Horrible Bosses 2' aims for more laughs
The stars of the original 'Horrible Bosses' are back, and they're hoping for more laughs in the sequel.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The stars of the original "Horrible Bosses" are back, and they're hoping for more laughs in the sequel.

"It's an infectious energy on set. That's why we wanted to come together and do a second one," said actor Jason Bateman.

In "Horrible Bosses 2," Bateman, Jason Sudeikis and Charlie Day reunite as pals, trying to make it big on their own. Instead of being low-on-the-totem-poll worker bees, they've formed a start-up company for their latest, greatest idea, the shower buddy.

The entrepreneurial father-son team of Christoph Waltz and Chris Pine feign interest in backing, but instead turn out to be a different version of horrible bosses.

Revenge for this team, with a little help from Jamie Foxx, means an elaborate kidnap and ransom scheme.

"The script, the story, everything seemed like it could at least be as good as the first and potentially better. I think we got close to the target," said Bateman.

The fun wasn't just with the script. The guys, along with co-star Jennifer Aniston, genuinely have a good time working together.

"It's family. You know each other's ins and outs, and then it's fun to just try to make your friends laugh," said Aniston.

"We did a lot of work before, in preproduction, sitting in rehearsals, not only the jokes but also the logic of the kidnapping plot, we worked really hard and I feel like we got pretty lucky because of it," said Sudeikis.

"Horrible Bosses 2" has its work cut out for it. The R-rated comedy will face off against the box office juggernaut known as "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay."

"Horrible Bosses 2" is one of the few R-rated comedies to ever open on Thanksgiving weekend.
