How to identify counterfeit concert tickets

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- At a Bruno Mars' Hollywood Bowl concert, nearly 400 fans never got through the gate. It turns out they were unknowingly carrying counterfeit concert tickets.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department says the tickets were high quality counterfeits.

The event was sold out almost immediately after tickets went on sale, forcing vulnerable buyers to snag seats from resellers. How can you make sure those tickets are legit?

Experts suggest buying tickets directly from the box office or the primary ticketer first.

If you use a reseller, make sure it's one you're familiar with and offers a guarantee... That way if the tickets turn out to be fakes, you may not get into the event, but you will at least get your money back.
