LOS ANGELES -- Hugh Jackman has been treated for a recurrence of skin cancer on his face, posting another selfie that shows him sporting a bandage on his nose.

The 45-year-old "X-Men" and "Wolverine" star had first revealed his basal cell carcinoma diagnosis in November, saying his wife Deb discovered his had a "mark" on his nose, and shared a photo of himself after the cancerous tissue was removed. He underwent treatment on Thursday, May 8, On The Red Carpet confirmed.

"Another Basel Cell Carsinoma. (sic) All out now. Thanks Dr. Albom and Dr. Arian," Jackman said on Instagram that day, alongside a new selfie. "PLEASE! PLEASE! WEAR SUNSCREEN!"

"Huge thanks to Dr. Arian and Dr. Born for operating on my nose until 10:20pm! #SUNSCREEN," he added on Twitter.

Basel Cell Carcinoma is the most common form of cancer in the United States and most forms are cured, usually with surgery, if treated early but are also known for returning, according to the government-based National Institutes of Health.
