Jim Parsons gets star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Actor Jim Parsons made a "Big Bang" on Hollywood Boulevard as he is the latest celebrity to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

He's star number 2,545 to be exact.

Parsons thanked his family, and his "Big Bang Theory" family, for all of their support. He has won four Emmys playing Sheldon Cooper on the show.

His next projects include an upcoming movie called "Home" and a trip to Broadway to start in the title role of an original comedy, "An Act of God."
