LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- LAPD detectives met with a woman who is a possible sexual assault victim of Bill Cosby, a spokesperson said Friday.

Judy Huth and her new attorney Gloria Allred spoke to LAPD detectives one day after LAPD Chief Charlie Beck encouraged alleged victims to come forward.

"She is here because she believes it is important that Mr. Cosby be investigated," said Allred.

Neither Huth nor Allred would discuss the specifics of Huth's lawsuit against Cosby. In it, she claims Cosby sexually abused her in 1974, when she was just 15 years old.

She claims the abuse happened at the Playboy Mansion after Cosby served alcohol to her and a friend.

Cosby's lawyer is calling Huth's suit a "meritless and unsupported 40-year-old claim" that was only filed after a failed extortion attempt. He says Huth "unsuccessfully tried to sell her story to the tabloids nearly a decade ago."

Huth is one of nearly 20 women who have come forward claiming that Cosby abused them. P.J. Masten is the latest.

"He is a serial rapist and he has fooled everybody in this country," she said.

In her 20s, Masten was a Playboy bunny, working at various club locations. She says Cosby drugged and raped her, and she wasn't alone.

"I can name off 12 right now that I know of, 12 former bunnies that I know of that are ashamed to come forward. But they were also drugged, raped by Bill Cosby," she said.

Cosby still refuses to speak publicly about the claims.

Attorney Areva Martin says although that might be a bad PR strategy, it is smart legal advice.

"I don't think there is anything that he could add to the conversation that's going to probably change America's mind about the allegations they've heard from, now appears to be close to 20 women, so I think it's a lose- lose proposition for him," said Martin.

As for Huth's civil case, legal experts we spoke with said Huth's original lawyer made so many procedural mistakes in filing the case, it will likely be dismissed before Cosby has to testify.

Cosby is not currently facing any criminal charges.
