LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Adam Nimoy, son of the late Leonard Nimoy, is hoping to raise at least $600,000 via Kickstarter to make "For the Love of Spock," a movie about his dad and the iconic character he played.

Leonard Nimoy and his son had planned to make a documentary about Mr. Spock of "Star Trek."

But when Leonard Nimoy died earlier this year, his son realized there was a much bigger story to tell.
