New movie 'Break Point' serves up plenty of comedy
Jeremy Sisto and David Walton play brothers who don't have much of a relationship in the new tennis-themed comedy, 'Break Point.'

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A new comedy about tennis takes center court this weekend. "Break Point" serves up plenty of laughs.

In the movie, Jeremy Sisto and David Walton play brothers who don't have much of a relationship. But when Sisto's character decides to give competitive tennis one final go, he convinces his brother to join him. They end up partnering up like they did when they were younger.

"I was playing with the writer, a friend of mine, when we came up with the concept," Sisto said. "The whole time, I never really believed I would have to get out there on the court in front of a camera and when it started coming to fruition, I really had an overwhelming sense of fear about it. I spent a lot of time - a lot of time - on the court figuring out how to play."

Finding the right actor to play Sisto's movie brother turned out to be a fluke. Walton's wife is a friend of "Break Point" writer Gene Hong.

"My wife happened to mention that I was out playing tennis and Gene was like, 'Wait, Dave plays tennis?' So really, I'm sitting here because of that conversation," Walton said.

Both actors got a kick out of their pint-size co-star, Joshua Rush, who plays a young outcast they take under their wing.

"His personality is so strong," Sisto said. "It made it easy for us. We just knew he was going to show up and nail it."

"Break Point" also stars Oscar winner J.K. Simmons. It's rated "R" and hits theaters Friday.
