Sally Field falls for younger man in 'Hello My Name is Doris'
Two-time Oscar winner Sally Field plays an eccentric woman infatuated with a younger coworker in "Hello My Name Is Doris."

In "Hello My Name Is Doris," Sally Field plays a 60-something office worker who falls for a younger man.

The film, out this weekend, co-stars Max Greenfield ("New Girl") as her younger love interest. The eccentric Doris had put her life on hold for years while she took care of her mother. But her mother's death sparks Doris to take a new outlook on life, which includes having fantasies about her coworker.

"She's old and she's brand new all at the same time," Field said.

The two-time Oscar winner says she spent three days trying on clothing from thrift shops to get into the character. She copied her hairdo from a 1961 image of Brigitte Bardot.

The character is also a hoarder. Field herself can identify with that - but likes to think of herself more as a collector.

"I have boxes and boxes of things that are memorabilia of my life," she said. "But so much of it is my kids and grandkids. It's ridiculous. And they look at it and go 'Why are you keeping that?' I'm just keeping it, OK?"
