'Sex Tape' stars talk spicing things up
Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel play a married couple who decide to spice things up by filming a sex tape.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- There are likely plenty of married couples who will relate to the early dilemma suffered by Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel in "Sex Tape." Their once active love life is challenged by the spoils of everyday life: work, kids, schedules and sleep.

On a rare night without kids, a couple decides to spice up the marriage, so they spontaneously make a sex tape. But they soon grow frantic when they discover that their private iPad cinema has gone viral.

They blame modern technology.

"The sex tape is not the villain," Segel said. "The fact that they made a sex tape is kind of sweet in its own way in the film. The villain is the Cloud."

Diaz and Segel think lots of couples will see themselves in the film.

"The objective was to create a couple that was relatable and tell their story with some fun and this idea of like so they had a really a reason to go on this outrageous sort of adventure of trying to get the tape back, and really in that, during that time realizing that they are really great partners," Diaz said.

"We wanted to be really honest about what it is like behind closed doors and for some reason sexuality seems like a harder subject to approach than violence in American cinema and so we really tried to pull the veil and go for it."

And Diaz did, exposing her rear end for the first time on film. She says 'no big deal'!

"I feel like I've been doing this for 20 years. People have seen my butt. You either see the top of my butt or the bottom of my butt, separately, whether I'm wearing pants or a bikini, you've seen my butt crack. This time, you just see it connected," Diaz said.

Segel also shows his behind, but it's not the first time for him.

"Sex Tape" is rated-R and hits theaters Friday.
