'Sound of Music' kicks off TCM Classic Film Festival

HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Organizers for the TCM Classic Film Festival chose "The Sound of Music" to kick off its opening night Thursday as the film celebrates its 50th anniversary.

Leading stars Julie Andrews, Christopher Plummer and some of the Von Trapp children were present for the event.
