"The Bachelorette" couple Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray have called off their engagement, the couple announced Thursday.

"After several months of being engaged and working on our relationship, we have decided that it's best for both of us to go our separate ways. We are very sad that it has come to this point, but this is what's best for both of us individually. We will continue to be good friends and have nothing but great things to say about each other and wish each other the best," the couple released in a statement.

Dorfman chose Josh Murray from a pool of 19 contestants on ABC's reality television show "The Bachelorette." The couple had been engaged since May 2014, when the filming of the show ended, but their relationship unveiled until the season finale in late-July.

On Monday, the ex-couple appeared at the premiere of "The Bachelor" in Los Angeles and seemed affectionate. They also spent Christmas and New Year's together, according to Dorfman's Instagram posts.
