A couple in Indiana got a little more than they bargained for when they posed with their newborn for a photo.

Pryor Carlson was less than two weeks old when his parents took him in for a newborn shoot with photographer Abbie Rogers. About 30 minutes into the shoot, Pryor, who was not wearing a diaper, relieved himself, sending a stream through the air and onto the floor and the lighting stand. Rogers managed to capture the parents' complete surprise.

"Shortly after Dad stepped up baby started squirming and he gave us a show," Rogers told ABC. "I wish this part of the shoot had been recorded but unfortunately it's not something you know is going to happen."

Rogers said everything -- from the baby's accident right down to the parents' priceless expressions -- was unplanned.

"Babies can't just pee on command so this image is very real!" she said. "The shock on their faces is very real as well."

From Rogers' perspective, things like this are natural during a newborn shoot.

"I knew it was funny but it's just the reality of what happens during a newborn session! We had a good laugh after it was all said and done," she said.

Rogers said that since most babies go unclothed for their newborn shoots, she's learned to expect the unexpected.

"As long as what happened doesn't ruin the photo or parents/backdrops are soaked I just dab it up with paper towels and baby wipes and keep the session going," Rogers said, adding that she does a lot of laundry after newborn shoots.

The photographer also captured the baby's more serene side in a photo she shared with ABC.
