SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KABC) -- A San Francisco woman's back pain turned out to be much more when she went into labor on a Delta Air Lines flight.
Allison Peery says her doctor gave her the green light to fly, but she began experiencing problems soon after the plane took off.
"I'm like, 'No, I think I'll be just fine. Just a little back pain. I'll have them give me a pillow.' Got into the plane, took off and about thirty minutes later, my water broke," says Peery, who was on her way to Minneapolis.
A pediatrician was on board and the pilot quickly made an emergency landing in Salt Lake City, where Peery was rushed to the hospital and delivered her baby via Caesarean section.
Karl William Peery was born at 4 pounds and 6 ounces.
