VIDEO: Twins give birth at the same time in different time zones
We know being identical twins is unique.

We know being identical twins is unique, but a pair of twin sisters took their bond to a whole new level.

They gave birth to their first-born children at the same time.

Leah Rodgers gave birth to son Reid Joseph at 1:18 a.m. Mountain Time in Denver on June 30.

A time zone away, identical twin sister Sarah Mariuz delivered Samantha Lynne in La Jolla, California, at 1:18 a.m., Pacific Time.

The twins didn't plan their pregnancies together.

"Crazy, but then again, kind of expected because this twin thing kind of just happens," Rodgers said on "Good Morning America" on Wednesday.

The sisters, both 35, are trying to work out a time to visit each other.
