TV show costumes on display in free downtown exhibit
An exhibit of television costumes in downtown LA gives viewers a chance to see outfits from shows like "Game of Thrones," "Downton Abbey" and "Empire."

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The best of the best of television's costumes are on display now in downtown Los Angeles, giving viewers a chance to see outfits from their favorite shows including some nominated for the Emmys in September.

The Art of Television Costume Design is a free exhibit at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.

It features outfits from shows such as "Outlander," "Empire," "The Good Wife," "Downton Abbey," and "Game of Thrones," among many others.

The FIDM Museum is located at 919 S. Grand Ave., downtown Los Angeles. The exhibit is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday until Oct. 15.
