Tasty tamales are once again taking center stage at a San Fernando restaurant, known for its delicious Latino holiday food.

SAN FERNANDO, Calif. (KABC) -- Tasty tamales are once again taking center stage at a San Fernando restaurant, known for its take on the delicious Latino holiday food.

Magaly's Tamales & Mexican Grill was buzzing with activity early Friday morning as workers were busy filling tamale orders.

It's tamale season and Vista L.A. went in search of the best places in Los Angeles that serve the delicious Latino holiday food.

In the days leading up to Christmas, the restaurant has been making about 8,000 to 9,000 tamales daily.

What makes Magaly's tamales stand out from the rest? Restaurant officials said the eatery does not use lard in its tamale recipe, the restaurant uses fresh corn husks and certified Angus beef for the beef tamales.
