LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Southland residents on Thursday were waking up to frigid conditions as a cold snap gripped the region.
Early morning temperatures plummeted to 3 degrees in Big Bear, 23 degrees in Lancaster and 40 degrees in Long Beach.
Frost advisories issued by the National Weather Service is expected to expire at 9 a.m. for the San Fernando, San Gabriel and Santa Clarita valleys, inland Orange County, and the Ventura County Coast.
A freeze warning is also set to end at 9 a.m. in Ventura County's interior valleys.
