LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Is your heart older than you are? A new online tool shows you what your real "heart age" is.

The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention wants Americans to take control of their heart health, so they're trying a new approach. Their online "heart age calculator" has you plug in risk factors like blood pressure, weight, diet and alcohol use.

According to their research, they estimate nearly three out of four adults in the U.S. have a heart older than their chronological age.

You can find your "heart age" at framinghamheartstudy.org.
