Mending Kids provides free surgeries to children in need

BURBANK, Calif. (KABC) -- In its third annual hometown mission, a Burbank-based group Mending Kids is helping local children feel whole again.

On Saturday, Mending Kids coordinated free surgeries for 17 children who couldn't afford the care.

Since 2006, Mending Kids has provided free surgical care to impoverished children abroad, but the group is looking to do more hometown missions.
