Window washers pose as superheroes at Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA
Window washers dressed as Captain America, Batman, Wonder Woman and other superheroes delighted young patients at Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA Tuesday.

WESTWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- It's not every day you look outside your window and see Captain America and Batman scaling a building, but that was what some of the children at Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA saw on Tuesday.

The kids even got to meet the superheroes, which was a welcomed treat, since, for some, this was the first time they were able to leave their hospital room in a while.

"It feels good because she's stuck in the hospital in the room getting poked and we came in for a surgery, and it took a toll on her," parent Debbie Zuniga said.

Marlice Pamtam said her daughter was feeling homesick.

"I think it really is beating her blues," she said.

Garrett just turned a year old and is recovering from his fourth heart surgery.

"It's so nice to get out and see these things and give him a distraction, and just change the day up a little bit," his dad said.

The kids may be small but they know well what it means to be strong, and have already unleashed their own superhero strength. fighting battles much harder than anything even Captain America has had to fight.

Tuesday helped prove that sometimes some of the best medicine is a big smile.
