SANTA ANA, Calif. (KABC) -- A 25-year-old man lost control and crashed his SUV into a single-family home in Santa Ana Saturday, police said. Crews were working to remove the Chevy Trailblazer without causing the roof to collapse.

The incident occurred in the 1400 block of north Euclid Street around 3:45 p.m.

Police said the driver either fell asleep at the wheel or had some sort of medical issue. The car ended up in the house's living room.

The male was pulled from the vehicle by firefighters and transported to a local hospital after complaining of pain. He was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol, Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna said.

One person was home at the time but was not injured.
