La Habra offers $25,000 reward for driver in fatal hit-and-run
Investigators hope a $25,000 reward can lead to the hit-and-run driver who killed a La Habra mother.

LA HABRA, Calif. (KABC) -- Months after a beloved mother was killed by a hit-and-run driver, La Habra officials announced a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the driver.

Linda Lopez had turned 60 just five days before she was killed the night of Nov. 13. Police say she was crossing the street at the intersection of Whittier Boulevard and Citrus Avenue when a white Toyota 4Runner ran her down and then took off.

Investigators on Wednesday announced the $25,000 reward for information leading to the driver and released possible details about the vehicle. They said it likely had damage to its front and the right fender flare and could be missing the right side passenger mirror.

Her two sons remain devastated by their loss and hopes the driver or witnesses will come forward.

"When you were at my mom's house, something was always going on, never a dull moment," said son C.J. Lopez. "And now you get there, it just feels empty."

Anyone with information was asked to call La Habra police at (562)383-4347.
