1 dead, 1 hospitalized after shooting in Winnetka

WINNETKA, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- One person is dead and another is wounded after a shooting inside a home in Winnetka on Christmas day.

Police were called to a house in the 20000 block of Cantara Street around 1:09 p.m., according to authorities from the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The victims, who had been shot, rushed to Northridge Hospital Medical center where one died, according to Los Angeles police. The second victim was in stable condition.

The identities of the people shot have not been released.

No arrests were immediately made. The Los Angeles Police Department is now investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
