Suspect in critical condition following officer-involved shooting in Atwater Village

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A suspect is in critical shooting after an officer-involved shooting occurred in Atwater Village Wednesday afternoon, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Authorities responded to reports of shots fired in the 4100 block of Willimet Street around 12:20 p.m.

At some point an officer-involved shooting occurred, but it is unclear what led up to the incident. The suspect was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
