SAN DIEGO, Calif. (KABC) -- A baby girl and her twin brother were born minutes apart in San Diego, and the pair won't be sharing a birthday.

The girl was born one minute before midnight on New Year's Eve and her brother was born two minutes after midnight on New Year's Day.

So the two will not only have separate birthdays, but they were also born in separate years.

The twins are happy and healthy, their mom and dad said. The couple weren't expecting the babies for another month.

The two canceled their New Year's Eve plans for their exciting and special delivery.
