ONTARIO, Calif. (KABC) --A man was shot and killed in front of two young children in Ontario on Tuesday, police said.
The shooting occurred at about 1:30 p.m. near E. G Street and N. Vineyard Avenue.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 40-year-old man in the driver's seat of a Honda with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said there were also two children, ages 1 and 4, in the victim's car.
Officials said the children were unharmed and taken to the police department.
Surveillance video obtained by Eyewitness News shows a Honda pulling up to a traffic light behind a truck.
Another vehicle enters the camera on the passenger side of the Honda and the driver's window rolls down.
The Honda then drives into the truck stopped in front of it as the other vehicle drives off.
Detectives said they are investigating whether this was a random act of violence or if there was a motive.
