COVINA, Calif. (KABC) -- Authorities are searching for three suspects who robbed a Bank of the West in Covina Thursday morning.

Covina police responded to a report of a bank robbery at 770 S. Citrus Avenue at 10:54 a.m. Upon their arrival, officers learned three suspects had entered the location, robbed the bank and the fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Witnesses told police one of three suspects pulled out a handgun and ordered all of the customers and employees to the ground. The other two suspects then jumped over the counter and removed money from numerous teller drawers.

The trio then ran out of the building and fled the scene in an SUV. They were described as three black men in their mid-20s wearing dark clothing and gloves.
