LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Uber users are catching a break. The car service has lowered its prices in more than 100 cities in Canada and the U.S., including Los Angeles.

Uber says January is a slower month for them, and the company expects to increase demand by reducing fares.

However, if that doesn't work, Uber says its prices will go back up again.

This is the third year that Uber has cut January fares for some cities.
