Tim Allen celebrates TV milestone with 100th episode of 'Last Man Standing'
Tim Allen became the second comic to have two TV shows hit the 100-episode mark with his latest hit 'Last Man Standing.'

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- "Last Man Standing" is a Friday night staple on ABC7. The sitcom that brought Tim Allen back to television debuted in the fall of 2011 and now, the cast and the crew celebrated a big milestone: their 100th episode.

"They're hitting on great cylinders and they're servicing all the characters and they're taking chances," Allen said.

The stand-up comedian and star of the long running hit "Home Improvement" took a chance doing the show. He originally declined the invitation to be apart of the show.

Now he joins Bob Newhart as a comic who's had two shows hit the 100-episode mark.

"I'm in rarefied air," said Allen. "I understand. But I give this to so many people in this cast and crew that made this possible."

Nancy Travis, who plays Allen's wife, has been right there from the start.

"It's interesting that our audience has grown," said Travis. "Here it is the 100th episode and we actually are doing better than ever. There's a heart and a warmth and a soul to this show that people don't get to see very often on television."

"Last Man Standing" airs Friday nights at 8 p.m. on ABC7.
