Man armed with knife killed in North Hills officer-involved shooting

NORTH HILLS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Authorities fatally shot a suspect armed with a large knife in North Hills Sunday night.

Los Angeles police received calls of a man armed with a hunting knife in the 8800 block of Norwich Avenue.

When officer arrived, they found a man armed with a knife that was at least 10-inches long in the middle of the street.

A fight broke out and an officer-involved shooting occurred. The suspect was hit and killed, authorities said. No officers were injured.
