Surfers hit SoCal coast in search of big waves

MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- Surfers took to the coast of Southern California as a high surf provided plenty of big waves for thrill seekers on Friday.

The National Weather Service issued an advisory on Friday because of the danger for strong rip currents created by the high surf.

The surf is expected to continue to build throughout the weekend and sets could reach 10 feet at some locations.
