BOYLE HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) --A young couple, including a pregnant teen, was killed after someone opened fire into their car and their vehicle crashed into a Boyle Heights home Sunday morning.
Family members said 19-year-old Henry Sanchez and his 18-year-old girlfriend Maria Cordova were expecting a child. Cordova was almost three months pregnant.
"My brother was with his girlfriend, he was excited, you know, that he was about to be a father and he was literally the day before he was really excited," Jesse Sanchez, the brother of Henry Sanchez, said.
Police said a passenger in a black SUV opened fire into their car. Loved ones believe the couple was attempting to get away when their car slammed into a home along Pleasant Avenue.
"I guess Maria died and my brother was rushed to the hospital and the other guy crawled out the car and that's basically all we know," Jess Sanchez explained.
The third passenger in the vehicle suffered minor to moderate injuries, according to officials. One person was inside the home when the car came crashing through and luckily was not injured.

Authorities said they are looking into the incident as a gang-related shooting.
Henry Sanchez's father, Jesus Sanchez, said he isn't aware of his son having any gang affiliation. He stated his son was very special in their home, but the family didn't know how Henry Sanchez behaved outside the home.
"I just want whoever did it to actually take responsibility, you know, like why are you doing this to someone else?" Jesse Sanchez said.
Officials urged anyone with information about the shooting to call the Los Angeles Police Department at (323) 342-8964.
Friends of the Sanchez family have set up a GoFundMe account to help with funeral expenses. If you'd like to learn how to help, you can learn more here.
