BALTIMORE (KABC) --Video captured a van smashing into several cars and running a woman over outside a popular nightspot in Baltimore.
Baltimore police said the incident happened on South Broadway Street in an area known as Fells Point at about 2:10 a.m. on Saturday.
In the 1999 Honda Odyssey was 38-year-old Orlando Redd, who was attempting to flee attackers who were trying to break into the van and pull him out, according to investigators.
Police said while trying to escape, Redd rammed into a stopped vehicle, before putting the van in reverse and driving onto a sidewalk.
That's where officials said Redd ran over a 27-year-old woman who was exiting a building.
Friends and family identified the woman as Jill Boram. She was taken to the hospital in serious, but stable condition and is expected to survive.
Redd was later pulled over and taken into custody. Police said he was charged with three counts of assault, two counts of endangerment, malicious destruction of property and was issued numerous traffic Citations.
A GoFundMe account was set up to help Boram with medical expenses.
