MONTEBELLO, Calif. (KABC) -- A car crash downed power lines, temporarily shut down the 5 Freeway and caused outages to more than 100 people in Montebello Sunday night.

The incident occurred near the southbound 5 Freeway and the Slauson Avenue off-ramp around 11:15 p.m. The California Highway Patrol had to shut down the 5 Freeway in both directions as they picked up the power lines that fell on the roadway.
