Glendale police are asking for the public's help to identify a brazen porch pirate caught on camera swiping a package in broad daylight.

GLENDALE, Calif. (KABC) -- Glendale police are asking for the public's help to identify a brazen porch pirate caught on camera swiping a package in broad daylight.

Surveillance video of the incident shows the suspect getting out of a car, slowing making its way down Flintridge Drive Jan. 23 around 1:25 p.m.

She then walks up to the front of a home, grabs a package and runs back to the car. She hops into the backseat and the car speeds off.

A witness then tries to run after the car but fails to catch up.

Police described the thief as a Hispanic woman between 18 and 23 years old with tattoos on her left arm and her right abdomen. She has long, black hair that she wore up in a bun.

The getaway car was described as a gray four-door 2012-2013 Honda Civic with tinted windows and a license number that starts with a 7.

The driver of the car was described as a woman, but no further descriptions were available.
