'Unicorn' captured on freeway
Police made an amazing find on the freeway this week: a 'unicorn' -- actually a pony dressed up as one

MADERA, Calif. -- Troopers in Madera, California spent three hours chasing a "unicorn" this week.

Several drivers called the California Highway Patrol, saying they spotted what they described as a unicorn weaving in-and-out of traffic.

"The calls were coming in as a unicorn running around out there on the roadway," an officer said.

When troopers arrived, they found a white pony dressed up as the mystical creature and captured it after hours of chasing her, KGPE reports.

"She was kind of running amok in a couple of orchards with some white blooms, so she kind of blended in with the scenery as well and she's not real tall, so she turned out to be stealthier than we would have imagined," said Sandra Boos, the pony's owner.

The pony's name is Juliette, and she's often seen posing as a unicorn at birthday parties and in photo shoots.

Local station KGPE says with nobody hurt, it's a fairytale ending for Juliette and her family. However, as Boos' daughter Tatum says, Juliette has some explaining to do after her little escapade.

"She got a time-out because she was being a bad pony," Tatum said.
