911 dispatcher helps frantic dad deliver baby

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX -- A 911 dispatcher in Corpus Christi, Texas, faced a surprising test when she had to help birth a baby via the telephone.

Dispatcher Senona Fernandez answered the 911 call on Sunday like she does every other one, "911, what's the location of your emergency?"

However, the man on the other end of the line was just moments from becoming a dad and too frantic to answer.

"Oh, my God. Oh, my God," he said, breathing heavily into the phone. "... My fiance's having a baby." The expecting dad then told the dispatcher, "She's yelling for me to help and I don't know what to do."

Senona Fernandez remained calm while instructing the man on what to do. During the entire call, you can hear his fiance screaming in the background.

The three minute call feels like a lifetime, before the baby is finally brought into the world. The baby and mom were both in good health when the ambulance arrived.

The couple now have a healthy baby boy.
