LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A beloved grandmother was killed after she was run over by a tour bus in Koreatown. Now, her distraught family is pleading for justice.

"She was someone really special to me," said a tearful Arnold Valiente, the victim's 12-year-old grandson.

Maria Valiente, 85, was walking along a crosswalk on busy Olympic Boulevard at Serrano Avenue on Jan. 6 when she was struck by a tour bus. The driver never even slowed down.

Witnesses rushed to help, but no one was able to get a license plate or good look at the driver.

They only saw that the white bus had black stripes on both sides, tinted windows and the word "Morongo" on it. Detectives said the bus was coming from Morongo Casino.

Valiente's family and authorities are pleading for the public's help tracking down the hit-and-run driver.

"Go turn them into the police, or if they saw something, to go do the right thing," Arnold Valiente said.

If you have any information about this incident, you're urged to contact the Los Angeles Police Department.
