LOS ANGELES (KABC) --Testimony in the Grim Sleeper murder trial on Tuesday looked at a pivotal moment in the case when suspect Lonnie Franklin Jr. was questioned by Los Angeles detectives after his arrest in the murder of 10 women.
The 40-minute videotaped interrogation took place in July 2010. One-by-one, LAPD detectives began pulling out photos of the women that Franklin was accused of murdering and asking if he knew them.
He denied knowing each one, but detectives then tell him that his DNA was found on all of the victims.
"Twenty-five years ago you creep out, you pick up these ladies, you have sex with them and you dump their bodies all over the city of Los Angeles," one detective tells Franklin in the video.
He again denies knowing the women and then says that maybe he needs a lawyer.
The prosecution is expected to wrap up its case on Wednesday. Then it will be up to Franklin's defense team to make their case to the jury in Los Angeles Superior Court.
