OC firefighters shave heads to raise money for cancer research
Garden Grove firefighters shaved their heads for childhood cancer research with the St. Baldrick's Foundation Wednesday morning.

GARDEN GROVE, Calif. (KABC) -- Garden Grove firefighters shaved their heads for childhood cancer research Wednesday morning.

The firefighters, along with a few junior firefighters, shaved their heads for St. Baldrick's Foundation.

Every year, the organization hosts the event. Almost $30,000 was raised Wednesday, according to a spokesperson. In total, about $100,000 has been raised over the past five years.
